I don’t even know where to begin, you guys. I made this dish a while back and I am literally about ready to jump through the screen in an attempt to devour these photos because I want to eat this again immediately. Incredible. Just incredible.

I’ve been a fan of this company and their headbands for a solid couple of years and for so many valid reasons…it’s local, started by a fellow mama like myself who was looking to create the most stylish, functional headbands on the planet and I’m pretty sure she has accomplished her mission. These are my gym bff (and they don’t slip!!!)..and they are cute and comfy enough to keep on all day long after my workout. Guys, you know I love a good Asian dish. And you know that my husband is a bit meh about that whole deal-he’s an Italian food junkie. But these salmon and rice bowls? His fave. Totally worthy of your meal rotation, promise!

Right here we’ve got a bunch of my favorite flavors all muddled into one fabulous, stand-out meal. The tiny bit of peanut butter in the marinade takes the flavor of this juicy, smokey chicken straight over the top….the pineapple adds the perfect hint of sweet acid and the coconut rice just simply turns this number into a home run. So yum.

‘The Holidays’. Is it safe to say they are upon us? I’m going to go ahead and declare a yay on that. It is November, after all. And the hustle and bustle is right around the corner. I’ll be the first to admit, I love it. Most of it.
I love it because of the constant gathering around the table with loved ones. People just tend to get together more often, at least in my world. Whether it’s a group of couples having a fun dinner out on the town, old friends who are hosting a gathering in an effort to get the ‘gang’ back together, or simply having dinner at other families houses, we just tend to do it more often around this time of year. If you are a fan of the Larabar you’re going to love these. After years of buying them I decided to try to make them myself. The ingredient list on the bars is so minimal I knew it had to be a simple task; I just couldn’t fathom spending the money on those things. A couple years ago I began trying different quantities and I think Ive got the perfect combination down. I prefer to roll them into balls because its so much more simple than cutting them into solid bars without crumbling. You’ll almost always find these in our fridge as they are such an easy, quick bite to grab on your way out the door. And they suffice wonderfully for a sweet fix, too. Continue reading
This rice could basically serve as breakfast, dessert or dinner. It’s rich and sweet with a hint of savory…I can’t tell you how well I devour this stuff. Serve it for breakfast instead of oatmeal. Or throw a little ground cinnamon and a tad maple syrup right on top for a healthy, hearty dessert. But for dinner? Aye yaye yaye. It’s the perfect compliment to any meat or veggies from the grill.
